Delicious treats and friendly service. I live off Del Mar and drive all the way over there because of the friendly service and bread.

Quickie Bakery is the kind of place that makes you believe in small joys again. The moment you walk in, the smell alone feels like a welcome—warm butter, toasted sugar, fresh bread—like someone hit “pause” on the day so you can breathe for a second.
Everything I tried tasted genuinely made-with-care, not just “fresh.” The pastries are flaky without being greasy, sweet without being cloying, and somehow still light enough to convince you to grab “just one more.” Their baked goods have that perfect balance of comfort and craft: classic flavors done right, with little touches that make them feel special.
The staff deserves a shoutout too—friendly, quick, and patient even when you’re standing there staring at the case like it’s an art exhibit. Service is smooth, the vibe is easygoing, and it’s the sort of spot you’ll start inventing errands for just to justify stopping by.
If you’re after a treat that feels like a tiny celebration (or you need a reliable pick-me-up), Quickie Bakery absolutely delivers. I’ll be back—often, and without apology.

Great bread. The conchas are my daughter’s favorite, especially when they have seasonal conchas to match the holiday theme. The yearly rosca from here is the best out of any rosca you will ever have.

I just picked up some of your delicious sweetbread. My favorite are the apple danish, biscuits and peanut butter candy. The only thing that I'm going to complain about is your door decoration. Put a Christmas wreath. "Es Christmas" like my husband said that a colleague of his said. 🤪

I have been going to this bakery since I was a child. Their pan is always consistently delicious. I do think they are a little outdated in their check out system as there is only one cashier so oftentimes you are waiting in line to be checked out. The place is tiny so the line quickly exits the door. Try the coffee from el cafecito 956 which is a stand right in front of quickie during special events. It’s refreshing and a perfect accompaniment to your pan dulce.

Very charming little bakery spot. They immediately greeted me when I walked in, were approachable for question, and most importantly, serve amazing treats. Cookies, cakes, anything you want. All made with care. I'll be returning.

In my personal opinion, this bakery is my go-to. My whole family loves it. I absolutely love the baked goods they sell. They have a variety of tasty treats, a selection of baked goods. They have the names of each item behind a glass screen. Your part is observing each item before buying it. I believe you would have to go in-person to buy and order. They do have examples on social media, though. They do make conchas and cakes for special events. For example, as shown in the picture we took, they had Star Wars themed pastries (cake, conchas, cupcakes, cookies, etc.) because they were promoting the Star Wars movie/series at the time. They had May the 4th be with you last year. They even had limited edition Solar Eclipse cakes and more when the Great North American Solar Eclipse happened. They have promos for upcoming movies like they had the Barbie movie promo conchas back in July 2023.
I’m not sure if they did one for Mufasa (the Lion King). I think they do Disney-related themed pasties. Double check on their Facebook page and other social media websites. It’s a BAKERY HEAVEN. Thank you for baking these delicious treats for the whole family! I have forgotten if they do treats (baked goods) for pets. It’s a really good place to take some baked goods home to your loved ones or as a special gift. ❤️ Be mindful of the sugar.

after so many years i can honestly say this is the best bakery in town. i remember as a kid being brought here with my grandparents to sweetbread for the morning cup of coffee. the pan dulce still taste the same and is always fresh. i would also like to mention the friendly service that is a big part of this establishment. I highly recommend the cheese danish, the rocks(piedritas) and the barras de chocolate. Really anything you pick will be good. Thank you for all the years of service to Laredo.

Delicious variety of bread! Their buttercream frosting is amazing!
Brownies, cookies, cake pieces, whole cakes, biscuits, and sweet bread available.
Patient and friendly staff!
Edit to add:
I love their buttered biscuits. However, there's times when they spread the butter thoroughly (which I love) and times when they just put a slab on there and call it good (which I hate). I added a picture of both. I recently tried their canoli (I think that's what it's called), and it was only filled halfway with the cream they use. Their cupcakes are tasty because of the frosting they use, but the bread is rough. The bread of their cupcakes is nothing compared to the bread of their cakes - which is extremely soft. The cake slices they sell individually are soft, too, and I recommend the confetti one. Their specialty donuts are softer than the donuts they sell daily. Give their specialty oreo donut a try! It was great!
